I have a problem emerging gtk+, it fails showing "checking for pango_context_new in -lpango-1.0...no Configure: error Can't link to Pango. Pango is required to build GTK+." I searched around the forums to see if I could find a fix for my problem and came up with a couple things to try. The first one I did was to emerge unmerge freetype && emerge unmerge pango and then try emerging gtk+. This did not work, as I still got the same error. Then I came across another fix which was to create a symbolic link "ln -s /usr/X11R6/include/X11 /usr/include/X11", this did not work also, same error again. Here are the version numbers in case it matters gtk+-2.0.6-r1 pango-1.0.4-r1 and freetype-2.1.2. If anyone can think of anything, please reply. Thanx in advance. |
