Ok, I've run into a slight problem during booting when I use the 2.6.2 devel kernel. The problem is that the computer hangs whilest booting right about the time that the penguin shows up at the top of the screen.
I think I have managed to trace the problem to it orgian, being the Nvidai Rivia (sp?) driver in the kernel. If I have it disabled, it boots, but If I have it built into the kernel, or as a module, it hangs. Has anyone else goten around this problem? I kinda need the driver, because I have a gForce 2 MX chipset (imac 15" lcd),and the colour is all funky with out it. _________________ "We appologize for the inconvenince" |
