I'm setting up a MythTV box with an old hauppauge wintv. I installed xawtv and that works fine.
When I tried to run MythTV .13 Myth backend would segfault when I tried to watch livetv.
I got the same error as here about an encoder not responging.
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=125935&highlight=mythtv+segmentation+fault
I tried downgrading to .12 because people seemed to be having problems with .13
Now I get:
Code: | 2004-02-01 06:13:48 Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV
Unknown video codec: open: No such file or directory
open video:: No such file or directory
open: No such file or directory |
It doesn't segfault, but the screen just remains black. They seem like they could be related..
Any ideas?
edit: I got .12 working by completely uninstalling .13 and then dropping the database. |
