Hi People,
I managed to install real 64BitSystem this weekend - great. But if I emerge nvidia-kernel it installs it, but there is no nvidia.ko nowhere
modprobe nvidia leads to: module not found or somethin'
Yes there is a proper symlink to the dir with the Kernelsources called /usr/src/linux ... I use the gentoo-dev-sources, when I menuconfig them (with genkernel or make menuconfig doesn't matter) there is no AGP related stuff in the characterdevices section (I heard that AGP is crappy for 64Systems) to choose. May that be the reason that the nvidia-kernel does not install properly?
Any suggestions?

I don't have an Athlon 64 (yet), but I'm sure I've seen an option in the 2.6 kernel for A64 internal agpgart support. I'll let you know as soon as I can get back to my gentoo box. |
