just read the pre link how to and I'm going to do it.

The guide example shows to at /opt so its contents are not prelinked because the binaries in there MAY not be prelinkable

My questions:

I know folding at home is not prelinkable so I'll add that dir

a) is OpenOffice-bin pre linkable?
b) is Java pre linkable

I'd hope at least a) is because I'd like for openoffice to open someone faster.

afaik, openoffice is prelinkable.. if you compiled it. It starts a lot faster, because the linker needs to work it's way through a million text-comparations to start open office. 8O

I guess java can be prelinked too. If you run the blackdown-jdk it could be prelinked afaik.
