google: xscreensaver "lock dialog"
There seems to be a gtk lock dialog patch floating around, but it is apparently not of very good quality; Frederic Crozat put it into the Mandrake package then removed it after a week with "gtk2 lock widget doesn't seem to be that good yet". You could always try picking it up yourself - the Gentoo devs are always happy to include branding and feature patches - but do consider that the author has requested in the source for the icon to remain in the dialog. |

cool will use it on my testing gentoo just to see how things work.. (or don't) thx.

Yeah, they decided to remove it from the cvs tree.
If it's the patch you're looking for, I found it here - the software at mirror.ac.uk is absolutely gorgeous, it lets you peek inside rpms and tar.gz files, in this case the xscreensaver SRPM from Mandrake 9.2. |
