|

Got Gentoo 1.4 going on an x86. It´s sweet. I´ve been fine tuning the kernel. All my hardware is working now. There´s just one thing. When I ´shutdown -h now´ or tell KDE to turn the computer off, the computer does everything BUT actually power off. Just wondering if somone could tell me what kernel configuration I need to adjust to make the computer actually power off at shutdown.
I use the gentoo-sources 2.4 kernel. The MOBO is a Gigabyte 7DX with a AMD 1400MHz Thunderbird proc.
TIA,

This is the setting in .config that fixed it:
CONFIG_APM_REAL_MODE_POWER_OFF=y |
