Yeah, I tried it about a year and a half ago. At that time it looked promising, but there was only so much you can do with it. _________________ what up |

Meh. Of all the interfaces he chooses to copy, he chooses Windows.
And anyway, he should just use XPde... _________________ old outdated sig |

haven't had a chance to try Equinox, but fltk is the shit. It's designed to be fast and light... just like it promises. It is easy to code, compiles small, loads quick, and runs fast. What more could you want? _________________ There are no enduringly clever sigs. |

applications? fltk can be as fast and small and whatever it wants, doesnt help much if you still have to load up kde to get any decent applications. |

imo KDE doesn't have any good apps. all the GNOME/GTK+ ones are better like:
evolution > kmail/whatever else there is
gaim > kopete
pan > knode
epiphany(mozilla) > konqueror(web) [oh no he didn't!]
i also favor nautilus(bmg'd) over konq for file manager too. i like springloaded folders and thumbnails for movies
anyways, just mentioning EDE in case someone gets bored and maybe wants to write an ebuild or 3 (fltk-2.x, eFLTK, EDE) hehee _________________ Press F1 for Help. |
