Hi guys
I just finished installing Gentoo, and it boots fine, but whilst its booting, I get an error that says something like
Warning: Local File System failed to mount [!!]
However, everuything still boots and I can login and do stuff as normal. Any ideas what the problem could be? Is there a file somewhere that contains all the messages you get at boot?
My filesystems are as follows:
/dev/hda1 Windows partition, so not listed in the fstab
/dev/hda2 boot partition
/dev/hda3 swap
/dev/hda4 root
/dev/hdb1 fat32 storage partition for data- seems to be mounted fine when I run df
Could it maybe be the cdrom or dvd drive that are playing up?
Thanks
Sam
EDIT: fixed it, for some reason my cddrive decided to change where it wanted to be mounted from- /dev/cdrom instead if /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 as it was before...

Check fstab to see what should get mounted at boot, then check what actually is mounted... _________________ Non fa male! Non fa male! |
