errors during boot

I used genkernel when I compiled the kernel, and everything seems to be fine. I have emerged gnome, and my machine seems very stable. All my hardware is working fine. The problem is that during boot, I get a lot of errors (modules and modprobe problems) even though everything seems to be just fine. How can I get rid of these messages?
Another problem is that when I shall reboot my computer, I get an error message, and it ask me to give root password for maintance...

please help
