.ko?

I am going through the install process for Gentoo 1.4, using a Live CD and following the web pages that lead one through installation. After typing the commands

genkernel all

and

find /lib/modules/2.6.1-gentoo -type f -iname '*.o'

I see nothing. When I look in the directory, all the files in the subdirectories of /lib/modules/2.6.1-gentoo have names that end in .ko, not in .o.

Is this to be expected? Should I just continue with the next step?

Modules built with 2.6 have a .ko extension instead of .o. This is nothing to worry about.
