I was using the keyboard stated above on my desktop dual-booting win2k and mandrake. It is the black small keyboard with a trackpoint and a usb hub. After playing for a few months with gentoo on my laptop I decided to install it on my desktop instead of the above operating systems.

The livecd found my hardware and installation went fine. However, upon booting my new gentoo-sources kernel, the keyboard wouldn't work. I have followed the -excellent- howto posted in another thread but still no usb.
When booting, the caps lock led is on, so the keyboard has power. However, a few moments after an 'AT keyboard not found' or sth message, at which point the usb hubs are detected and configured, the led locks on or off.(Perhaps it configures the keyboard as hub???). After that point, I cannot do anything in the login screen.

Using the live cd (which boots the keyboard fine), I have changed my kernel and Bios config numerous times with regards to usb and input core settings, but still no luck. Is there anyone who has got this keyboard working? If so, what is your usb config?

Forgot to note my system : Shuttle SK41G, Athlon XP, Via mobo, all other usb devices unplugged.
