il mio problema è semplice: non esce più alcun suono! ne in kde con arts ne tramite mpg123 da shell
ma fino a ieri tutto funzionava... l'unica cosa che ho mergiato in piu sono:
-kdemultimedia e k3b

l'unico errore che ho trovato che potesse far riferimento a ciò è nel dmesg

Tuttavia sembra che la abbia caricata... se fai lsmod vedi il modulo?

anche perchè come ho già scritto non è in modulo ma statica

inoltre ho provato a fare

cat /dev/dsp

e stampa roba quando arriva un suono!

ho controllato un dmesg che avevo postato alcuni giorni fa e quell'errore c'era lo stesso ma il suono andava quindi il problema non è li

Ok, non avevo letto, scusa.
Allora l'errore probabilmente é dato dal fatto che cerca di caricare un modulo che non esiste/un modulo di qualcosa già caricato

Controlla i volumi con amixer... prova a dare l'unmute a tutti

Sembrano tutti attivi. Controlla per scrupolo anche cosa ne pensa kmix e verifica bene funzionamento e configurazione di arts
(...per la gestione audio di kde non ti so dire nulla di più)

kmix vede anche lui tutto attivo :(
il problema è che anche senza arts non si sente nulla :(

stesso identico problema, ieri funzionava tutto, ho provato per smanettare un po kde 3.2 e tac sparito l'audio per magia, controllato arts, alsa, oss, esd, nessuno funziona, eppure la scheda c'è, è una intel ac97 riconosciuta perfettamente, i volumi di alsa li ricarica ad ogni reboot quindi è impossibile che siano i volumi. Qualcuno trovi una soluzione io non riesco piu a sentire nulla per quel maledetto test di kde 3.2 :(

abbiamo pure la stessa scheda audio
ho aperto un topic nella sezione multimedia dal titolo "no audio" magari posta li anche tu cosi vedono che siamo di piu ad avere il problema

Io avevo un problema simile (ma con una intel8x0) con KDE 3.1 prova a spegnere Arts e selezionare OSS, con me ha funzionato.

ho risolto il problema... praticamente mi sono messo a modificare i veri volumi di alsa ed il suono è tornato quando ho messo a mute "IEC958 Capture Monitor"
