HELP! no german kde-3.2 at all!

i don't know what to do anymore. after kde-3.1.5 i installed kde-3.2.0_rc1 (kdelibs, kdebase, kde-i18n-de) with no problems. all went fine, kde was german. then, when kde-3.2 was out, i did the following:

emerge kdelibs-3.2.0.ebuild
emerge kdebase-3.2.0.ebuild
LINGUAS="de" emerge kde-i18n-3.2.0.ebuild

everything compiled fine, installed fine, the old rc1 was removed - but kde is still in english. german can't be selected in kcontrol. i unmerged and re-emerged kde-i18n-3.2.0 several times, no go. tried LINGUAS with export LINGUAS="de" - no go. all traces from the old kde (3.1 and 3.2_rc1) are removed, the kdedirs in /etc/env.d are ok, kde-i18n-de compiles and installs with no error messages. the only thing that seems a little strange to me is that kde-i18n only installes files in someting like share/doc/HTML or so, which seems to me is only the german handbook for kde, not the i18n! or am i wrong?

does anyone have a similar problem or know a solution or what i could try to make it work?

did kde-i18n emerge for you? For me, it wasn't able to download the sources.

no, emerge didn't download anything. i downloaded all kde packages manually from one of the kde mirrors listet on www.kde.org. md5 sums are ok though, so it should work without problems.
