what stage did you start from? _________________ I think that the forums are the greatest thing about Gentoo, thanks to everyone that posts on them!

did you emerge sync, emerge -k sysklog..., and emerge -k vixie-cron or one of the other ones _________________ I think that the forums are the greatest thing about Gentoo, thanks to everyone that posts on them!

I'm currently working with 2 installs on 2 different machines.
The one at work is a K6-2 500mhz. It's been working on emerge kde for 2 days now. That can't be normal...? _________________ "As you think, so you are." |

What package is it on, if you watch it the number will show up, (xx/120) or something _________________ I think that the forums are the greatest thing about Gentoo, thanks to everyone that posts on them!

Actually, I've read reports of KDE taking 40 hours on similar machines. I run an athlonXP 1600+ (1.4 GHz) and it takes something like 10-12 hours I do believe. |
