I have been trying for days to sort out my page alignment problems with my Epson Stylus Photo 830 (currently using USB, but parallel is the same) and it's page alignment. Basically the whole page is shifted about 2mm to the left, and I need to shift it to the right.
I can't find anything on the net, asked on the sourceforge gimp-print forum, but no-one there seems to know so I am asking here! If anyone know's anything about how I might tweak my printer settings. I have looked at the PPD file source and can't see anything in there to tweak. Any help would be really appreciated |

I know this is a really old one. I did try the gimp-print forums on sourceforge.net too but got nowhere. Is there honestly no way to adjust page alignment under the Linux printer drivers we use? I am looking to replace this printer soon anyway due to the small ink cartridges and it's tendency to get blocked heads on an almost weekly basis, but I do want to be able to print properly using my new printer.
Looking for an HP with auto duplexing - has anyone experience of their performance under Linux. Are they aligned correctly in general and do their drivers support alignment adjustments? Thanks for any help. |
