Anyone know how to change the color of the KDM login screen? I am so tired of grey.

I know the "Login Manager" control panel can be used to change the background image/pattern of the login screen, as well as the widget style used by the greeter. I think you can also use it to change the color scheme used by the greeter, but I'm not certain about that.

Yeah...the background, widgets, color scheme can be altered this way, but the main window of KDM still stays that very dull grey.

That is what I want to change.

After parusing the xdm documentation & my local files related to X, I thought that I had found what I had been looking for in the /etc/X11/xdm/Xresources file, but even after editing this file and restarting xdm (kdm is wrapped in it) and Xfree my login screen is still that nasty grey.

Anyone have any clue where to look :?:

Did you try changing the color scheme of the style? You can create a custom one if need be and then change the application background to the color you want.

In theory.
