So I changed it in the BIOS.

Now I keep getting these dumb messages when I recompile my kernel

Warner: file xxx has modification time 2.5oe4 in the future

and Clock skew detected.

How do I sort it?

Cheers

You could try re-emerging your kernel sources or something so that all the files would have the correct date. Also, do you know that you can set your date with the 'date' program?

If I re-emerge my kernel source will I lose the config settings for the kernel?

Cheers

Maybe. You config settings are in /usr/src/linux/.config. Copy that file and then when you re-emerge your sources just copy it back and your config settings will be restored.
