So I changed it in the BIOS.
Now I keep getting these dumb messages when I recompile my kernel
Warner: file xxx has modification time 2.5oe4 in the future
and Clock skew detected.
How do I sort it?

| You could try re-emerging your kernel sources or something so that all the files would have the correct date. Also, do you know that you can set your date with the 'date' program? |

If I re-emerge my kernel source will I lose the config settings for the kernel?

| Maybe. You config settings are in /usr/src/linux/.config. Copy that file and then when you re-emerge your sources just copy it back and your config settings will be restored. |
