Well im haveing this problem, if I run quake2 as user then the mouse is so laggy it is useless but if I log in as root and run q2 then its smooth and good. So it seems it is some kind of a permission problem, but what can it be? |

If you're using icculus.org/quake2, you might try using the sdlquake2 binary, or if you're using that already, the quake2 binary. They use slightly different code to do the same thing, and some people have problems with one, whereas another works fine. |

Edit your XF86Config file to fix this.
There's a part under 'Section "Module"' that references 'extmod'.
What you want to do is completely remove (or comment out) those 3 lines, and replace it with:
For example, my 'Section "Module"' looks like this:
Code: | Section "Module"
Load "record"
Load "extmod"
Load "dbe"
Load "freetype"
Load "glx"
Load "xtrap"
Load "type1"
Load "speedo"
EndSection
|
Good luck. _________________ :: soroh -*~ |
