|
|
Hi all,
I'm working on upgrading my kernel to the newest 'gaming-sources' (is there a better one I should upgrade to, btw?)
When I finished, I reconfigured GRUB, and then I get a kernel panic....
Code: | Partition Check /dev/ide/host0/target0/lun0: p1 p2 <kernel BUG at sched.c:1142>
Invalid operand 0000 |
I'm not sure what I might have done wrong, but I've never had this happen before, and seaching the archives here, and on google, don't seem to turn up anything useful.
Thanks for the help.

The gaming sources are old. I'm running the vanilla 2.6.2 kernel sources from kernel.org.
However, the regular 2.4-gentoo kernel sources work very well. 2.6 is hella fast, though. |

So, what should I 'emerge'?
emerge -k gentoo-sources?
Something else?
Thanks for the info... |
