After upgrading to kde 3.2 I had the following error message every time I opened a chat window witj kopete:
An internal Kopete error occurred while parsing a message:
XSL document could not be parsed!
After searching around the web I found that Kopete, by default, doesn't select a chat window appearance option.
all you have to do is to go to Configure->Appearance->Chat Window and select one.
I hope this will help, since at least another friend of mine had the same problem.
