|
|
Hi,
after upgrading to gnome-2.4.2 (and gnome-applets 2.4.2) I receive a
"Can't access ACPI events in /var/run/acpid.socket!" error when starting up gnome.
The error occurs when trying to initialize the battery status app (which is placed in the gnome-panel here).
The error also appears when I start the app manually.
Any known problems whith this? |

Well at least it is started. And it worked just fine before updating gnome, so my guess is it would be more of a gnome related problem?! |

Well it could be. I mean: I have that advice when I load the applet and acpid is not running. I've searched the gnome bugs but I don't find anything related. |
