Hi people!

I'm trying to use sylpheed to see my mail. I have to fetch those from hotmail. When I push on "Get" a windows appears.. it's written "Authenticating". Then, I get a "Error occured while processing mail".

Here are my /etx/xinet.d/hotwayd file:
Code:

service hotwayd
{
        only_from               = localhost
        socket_type             = stream
        wait                    = no
        user                    = nobody
        port                    = 110
        server                  = /usr/sbin/hotwayd
        server_args             = -s
        log_on_success          += USERID
        log_on_failure          += USERID
        disable                 = no
}

my xinetd.conf:

Code:

# Sample configuration file for xinetd

defaults
{
        only_from      = localhost
        instances      = 60
        log_type       = SYSLOG authpriv info
        log_on_success = HOST PID
        log_on_failure = HOST
        cps            = 25 30
}

includedir /etc/xinetd.d

This is my /var/log/daemon.log:
Code:

Feb  6 15:45:09 Vampire xinetd[11020]: Started working: 1 available service

And, finally, this is what I get if I run /usr/sbin/hotwayd:

Code:

neodieu@Vampire neodieu $ /usr/sbin/hotwayd
+OK POP3 hotwayd v0.5.3 -> The POP3-HTTPMail Gateway. Server on Vampire active.

I don't know how to use telnet because well... it's not on my system (???)!

Anybody have an idea here, what is not working?

This is what I get if I try to logon using directly /usr/sbin/hotwayd.

Ok, I did it. I've check out the hotwayd FAQ, and installed the 0.7.4 version of hotwayd, and it's now working!
