hi,
i'm not sure what i have done lately but i've noticed that webpages with swf files are no longer loading.....i seem to have broken something. ie i get prompted to save the *.swf file or select the program to open it with.
hence my question.....what exactly do i need to make swf work in konqi? i have emerged netscape-flash and libswf but to no avail.
under konq settings what program should be associated with x-shockwave-flash? at the moment it has no association. or should it be left blank??
i've googled this and havent come across a definitive answer, quite frustrating!
my system is as follows:
kde 3.2, kernel 2.61
thanks! _________________ I might not have morals...but at least I have standards

finally got it working.....for the noobs out there this is what i did:
emerged libswf and swfdec
in konqueror -> settings -> configure konq -> file associations -> x-shockwave (under application branch)
in the embedding tab i added the following service
'netscape plug-in viewer'
and low and behold, it works
didn't happen overnight, but it did happen _________________ I might not have morals...but at least I have standards |
