I just emerged lynx and that worked fine. I just manualy configured my kernel and now I am make clean bzImage modules modules_install. _________________ I think that the forums are the greatest thing about Gentoo, thanks to everyone that posts on them!

in 2.6 is just make && make modules_install |

make clean bzImage modules modules_install will work just fine.
In 2.6 make all will make bzImage and modules, and all is called by default when you call make without any other options. Hence the commonly seen make && make modules_install. Or you can use make all modules_install. Or make bzImage modules modules_install. Just a matter of preference. make clean is a good idea, but not generally necessary unless you want to remove modules. _________________ Kent
