I hope it will have more success then my previous thread....

I am looking for a good manual on installing and configuring + running/using directfb.
The current one on their site isnt very clear.

Whenever I run fbset -i, everything crashes.
When I shutdown X and try again, I get the number of colors and then Unknown (8


I really want to get this to work

I have played with DirectFb myself from time to time. All of the information I needed to get it to boot into the framebuffer, I found here:
