|
I just emerged bootsplash and i am now running
Code: | ebuild /var/db/pkg/media-gfx/bootsplash-0.6-r3/bootsplash-0.6-r3.ebuild config |
and during the patch process it spits out the following
Code: |
*
* Patching the kernel in /usr/src/linux ...
*
can't find file to patch at input line 4
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
The text leading up to this was:
--------------------------
|diff -urN linux-2.4.20.orig/drivers/char/console.c linux-2.4.20/drivers/char/console.c
|--- linux-2.4.20.orig/drivers/char/console.c 2002-11-29 00:53:12.000000000 +0100
|+++ linux-2.4.20/drivers/char/console.c 2003-03-13 01:01:28.000000000 +0100

and just sits there waiting for input. This may have somethign to do with my kernel, I had kernel-2.6.1-rc2-mm1 installed and I recently downloaded the new source from www.kernel.org for 2.6.2 stable, could this be the problem and if so how can I fix it? _________________ So many questions so little time.... |

Also will this cause any other problems I should be aware of (booting a kernel that I didn't emerge, and if so is this kernel available from Gentoo as an ebuild?) _________________ So many questions so little time.... |
