I have a serious problem. My fluxbox shutsdown the same moment it starts making it impossble to get out of xdm login screen. Is there a way to shut it down and go to console? For some reason ssh isn't working either so I can't fix it remotely. =(

cntl-alt-del just restarts xdm

Please help!

you could boot with the command "<kernelname> 2" which will boot into runlevel 2. you can boot in runlevel 1 or 3, too. xdm normally is part of runlevel 5.

i'm not sure if that's what you're talking about cause it's sounds very easy. just press Ctrl+Alt+F1/2/3/4/5/6 do be taken to vte1 or vte2 and so on...it's up to you to decide...
hope i understood right...

Did you find out why fluxbox shutsdown instantly? I have this problem with my user login, root is fine! This started to happen after emerging fluxbox 0.9.8. Ether that or the new radeon 9600XT?. Any help would be good.

Cheers Narr
