emerged KDE 3.2.0 and got 3.0 instead

I just tried to emerge KDE 3.2.0 on a fresh box, but when I start KDE it loads version 3.0.
My XSESSIONS is set to kde-3.2.0. I tried emerge -up on kde, kdelibs, and kdebase, but it thinks I have the newest version.
Anybody know what the problem is?

Okay, the problem is actually different than I thought. It seems to be 3.2.0 that is running, but the splash screen said 3.0 (that splash screen also strangely isn't one of the ones I can choose in the Control Center). Also, everything looks like it is very low-res even though the display is at 1280x1024. Did I somehow get a mix of 3.0 and 3.2.0? I'm very confused.

It's actually a buglet in KDE.. if you have a locolor display (8 bit), it will default to the splash screen that was included with KDE 3.0.
