Hi, I have a powerbook aluminium 15" 1GHz. I want to install OO1.1, but it requires jdk 1.4.1: I can't find it for ppc! What can I do?
Also I want to use my built-in modem, what I have to compile in the kernel 2.6? How to use after compiled kernel?

I had to use the ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~ppc" before the emerge but was able to get the latest ibm jdk to work. I don't have time right now since im at work but I will try and put a detailed mini howto if you need it. NOTE: you will have to download the docs from sun and the sdk bundle from ibm as the emerge will tell you.
Hope this helps you a bit in case it takes me awhile. Oh, I verified it works by downloading and running jedit and eclipse. They both work too. |
