I have a big problem, I have an IDE ZIP100 drive which worked fine on an old computer, but when I changed to my new VIA KT133 based mainboard, I can only read correctly on the zip. If I try to write on it, I have a lot of IDE bus reset and the operation takes a lot of time (at least 6 hours to complete a simple filesystem creation). Also, if I mount the zip, it is locked correctly in the drive, but when I write on the disk, it takes a lot of time as I said before and the drive is unlocked.
Anyone has an idea ? |

The KT133 motherboards seem to be kinda flaky. I am not sure if this will help, but I have noticed that on mine, some of the time when I power it on, it won't recognize any of the drives on the secondary IDE controller. Try hitting the reset button of your computer just after you power it on (it fixes my problem with the secondary IDE controller). |
