I want to install gentoo on my laptop, BUT i don't know how to start pcmcia support before loading up. I'm running a D-Link ethernet card (Dell, Inspiron 7000, Pentium 2, 256k ram).
Any direction would be great. I have installed gentoo before but the NIC card was a pci.
thanks in advance for any help...

Boot the live cd and view the boot options. If I remember right it's
or something very similar to that, it's been a while since I've needed to boot the pcmcia stuff off a live cd. The boot options screen will tell you what you want. |
