|
|
In openbox with root, I can use xterm. But if I log into a regular user account and load openbox, I can't run xterm.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
ls -l shows root:utmp for xterm and everything else in /usr/X11R6/bin/ is root:root |

I exited my Xserver with ctrl-alt-delete and now I can't get back in.
I get an error
Can't move log file "/var/log/XFree86.*.log"
No matter what I use.. startx -- :1, :2, :3.... all the same.
I checked the log file and see that x is trying ot access /dev/apm_bios. I would need to stop it from doing that, but have no idea how. |
