I've set up some routes and I'm not sure in which file I add the route command so that they are set on bootup.
Where is the best place too add this?
Code: | route add -net 192.168.xx.xx gw 172.16.xx.xx netmask 255.255.255.0 dev eth0 |

The best place is probably going to be in
/etc/conf.d/local.start
and
/etc/conf.d/local.stop
Or you can create your own scripts and whatnot. Say
/etc/init.d/route-add
/etc/conf.d/routes.add
/etc/conf.d/routes.del
Use /etc/init.d/local as your template.

If it's just a default gw, then you can specify it as
gateway="eth0/192.168.0.1" or whatever in /etc/conf.d/net
Alternatively, you might just add them into the /etc/init.d/net.XXX script for the appropriate interface. |
