at the end of the install and it says type passwd to set it
then i get the New UNIX password: prompt
type in what i want and it tell me it is based on a dictionary word
is there a default password set already??? if so what is it? _________________ If peeing your pants is cool, consider me Miles Davis. |

No. It just complains your password is too easy. The background is that it is very easy to crack passwords that can be found in a dictionary just by comparing the crypt() of every word in the dictionary with your crypted password found in /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow. You'd better choose a password with some special characters. |
