PHP and Zend Performance Suite

I'm getting the hard sell from some sales guys at Zend. We're not really doing anything in PHP that would warrant what the suite provides. It's supposed to do db query caching, increased PHP execution speed with precompiled byte code, gzip compression, and content caching.

Has anyone played around with the Zend suite? I'd be interested in hearing if it actually does live up to it's fairly aggressive claims.
