Posted: Sat Feb 14, 2004 8:17 am Post subject: Gentoo detects wrong hard drive specs (BIOS does not). |

BIOS detects my 1.2gb Seagate correctly as a 1.2gb Seagate with correct cylinders/heads. When trying to make partitions for install I notice that Gentoo only sees the hard drive as a 520mb drive. |

Sorry, I did that while in fdisk and recieved the "no partition is defined" message. Now that I have noticed and left fdisk, I realized that /dev/hda was my CD drive and /dev/hdc is the hard drive. Problem #1 solved, thanks for the help =P |
