Hi everyone,
I have the following problem:
When connecting to my apache server (apache-1.3.29-r1) in https mode using mod_ssl (mod_ssl-2.8.16) via mozilla (either 1.5, 1.6 or firebird-firefox) with my own self signed certificate, connect is fine, work ok but if I leave my browser idle for a little while, I get:
" the connection to myserver.mydomain has terminated unexpectedly"
I have to close the mozilla, restart and go back to my page.
In /var/log/apache/error_log I get the following:
[Sat Feb 14 11:25:45 2004] [notice] child pid 9785 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
Have no errors on /var/log/apache/ssl_engine_log
Problem does not show up with IE 5.
Any ideas???
Regards,
Francois |

I have exactly this problem on my website, with apache 1.3.31. Firefox-based browsers (not 100% sure if Moz does this) cause Apache to segfault, but not IE. It does not crash *every* time, but it does most times.
Anybody with any ideas?
Edit: Also, the cert is not self-signed... It's a bought one. _________________ "Pokey, are you drunk on love?"

I did solve this but I don't remember what exactly the fix was. I think all that was needed was a recompile of openssh or mod_ssl. Maybe just recompile openssh, mod_ssl, and apache. |
