I just emerged xfree86 4.3.0.1 and kde -3.2.0 on my laptop using a 2.6.3-rc1-love1 kernel , i know xf86config is setup propely as i can get into kde when i have my nvidia drivers installed (using the lastest nvidia packge from nvidia.com). how ever each time i reboot the xfree fails to initialize the nvidia kernel module unless i reinstall the module again, after which it works perfectly. This is also probably why my KDE doesnt initialise at startup but KDE doesnt give any error message.

All this was working fine before emrging KDE so i'm assuming KDE messed up something somewhere when it was emerging..

When i install the nvidia drivers it gives a warning message saying:

WARNING: Unable to restore symbolic link /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1 -> libMesaGL.so (File exists).

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanx
