hi,
kann mir jemand kurz erzählen wie ich am reibungslosten auf 2.6 updaten kann und nach möglichkeit nicht die ganzen einstellungen von meinem 2.4er verliere?
wär klasse.

| Prinzipiell sollte auch beim Umstieg von 2.4 auf 2.6 funktionieren, praktisch gesehen wirst du aber auch danach nicht daran vorbeikommen, dich einmal durch alle Optionen durchzuarbeiten. |

hi,
prinzipiell stimmt das schon - und geht auch in den meisten fällen.
die kernel dev's raten aber dazu, mit der 2.6.x serie eine neue .config 'from scratch' zu erzeugen...
just to be sure...
das _kann_ böse fehler vermeiden helfen...
aber wie gesagt:
in ~90% der fälle gehts so auch...
versuchs erstmal, wies amne gesagt hat; wenn fehler auftreten - neu erzeugen.
