xine-dvdnav installed to watch dvds using xine? reason I'm asking is that I'm can't get xine-dvdnav to compile. I'm using gentoo 1.2.

xine-dvdnav is not required to watch dvd's but it enhances the viewing as it allows you to access the dvd menu. This is from the xine-dvdnav page:
