Hello world - I have few funny things going on with my system just now. I'm running a fully updated system on 2.6.3-rc2, but hotplugging is giving me grief. I have two basic questions - take a look at my /proc/interrupts, and tell me if too many things are sharing IRQ 11:
146 alastair@dolphin:~> cat /proc/interrupts
CPU0
0: 35824121 XT-PIC timer
2: 0 XT-PIC cascade
8: 2 XT-PIC rtc
10: 298371 XT-PIC ehci_hcd, uhci_hcd, EMU10K1
11: 2794744 XT-PIC uhci_hcd, uhci_hcd, ohci1394, eth0, nvidia
12: 405850 XT-PIC i8042
14: 111916 XT-PIC ide0
15: 34 XT-PIC ide1
NMI: 0
LOC: 35819023
ERR: 232577
Is that normal? Is it likely to cause problems? I've had one or two lockups, which I attributed to the Nvidia driver, but would that be happier if it wasn't sharing interrupts with anything else?
Secondly, hotplug is OOPSing on me. Both the new 200401 build, and the older 200308 one do it; it seems to be the PCI probing that's the problem. If I manually run "usb.rc" and "input.rc", then all is fine, but the PCI one trips out. Anyone know what's going on?
System details: Athlon XP 2500+, Via KT400, Nvidia FX5600, SB Audigy _________________ ------------------------------------------
