When I was using 2.4 kernels I could play dvd's no problem.
Now my Dvd's skip like crazy...
any ideas ? |

Do you have DMA enabled on your DVD-ROM?
hdparm -d /dev/hdc

I have no device (hdb or hdc)
I only have /dev/cdrom which points to /dev/scsi/blah/blah/blah/lun0.
I guess I could recompile my kernel...

No, that'll work fine!
