|
|
Hi folks;
I have a few apps that run under wine or vmware that use the soundcard for
output. None of these apps has the intrinsic ability to route their output to
a file. Does anyone know how I could capture all the sounds being played by
the soundcard on the linux host system? Preferably this would be command line
tool(s) that can be scripted by cron to collect sound samples at regular
intervals.
If it matters I'm using alsa/Gentoo linux/nforce_audio. Have already tried
utills like rawrec and commands like cat /dev/dsp |sox... but just end up
with files full of silence. |
