|
|
Ok, so after upgrading to freetype-2.1.5, my truetype fonts are bold and somewhat fuzzy. I like to use the Verdana font. I have tried emerging freetype both with USE="-bindist" and USE="+bindist" and there seems to be no difference.
I have look at this thread https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?p=874655
But it doesnt help me. I think this had to do with the truetype bytecode stuff but I am at a loss. I am gonna try downgrading freetype and see what it does. Is there anything else that might cause this problem? My other non-freetype fonts seem fine and no changes were made to the system elsewhere. I updated to the lastest stable xfree as well 4.3.0-r5.
Thanks |

Any change when you put this into /etc/fonts/local.conf ?
Code: |
<match target="font">
<edit name="autohint" mode="assign"><bool>true</bool></edit>
</match>
<match target="font">
<edit name="rgba" mode="assign"><const>none</const></edit>
</match>
</fontconfig>
