Look for it in Portage or at: http://icculus.org/news/news.php?id=1883 Just so you know, AMD64 people only need to
Code:
 emerge ut2004-demo
and they should get the correct version. Just make sure you have the proper ebuild and are running on ALL AMD64 codebase.

Lucky 64 bit stiffs

I've been playing it non-stop for 3 hours. I love it!

I've been playing for......

It's sooo cool. Nuff said.
There are indeed some issues remaining... but I'm sure they'll get sorted out. :D

The links points to some issues with hardlocks and reboots. I havent seen this yet. The test boxes must have been using obscure hardware. Hopefully some more games get ported in the near future. Tuxracer and ut2004 are all I have =)

ATI 9200 (I should stick my 9500Pro in there)
amd64-3200 OC'd to 2.2Ghz

Had no problems to really note of the game except that I'll prolly need a new video card for this years games, the GF3 is getting tired. The only real bug to speak of noticing is that everytime the level changes it takes ages. It starts loading, all types of disk activity and such, then just kind of sits there like it forgot what it was doing then then it "remembers" and the cpu load and drive reading comes back. Then poof done.

Prolly sound related though somehow, bout to make a post about it in multimedia.

I get the same thing on my AthlonXP so it isn't a 64 bit problem.
So is this a :D or a :( ?

8O Runs wonderfully for me so far. The one odd thing I noticed is that it actually sounds better on gentoo then it does on XP

Runs great on my Shuttle 3000+ and Ti4200... Maybe I don't need that video card upgrade just yet. I do have a sound bug that kept causing a crash, but a new patch (in -r2, currenlty masked) is supposed to fix that.

The game is really great... the vehicles that you can pilot around are very cool and definitely change the feel of the fps to me, which was getting pretty tired. The graphics are awesome--really nice work.
