Ciao Gechi mi sto imbattendo in questo problema che riscontro quando voglio fare un reboot, un poweroff oppure solamente uno stop di hotplug con il kernel 2.6.
Dopo aver dato uno dei tre comandi elencati sopra mi posta questa serie di righe che sono riuscito a recuperare tramite /var/log/messages.

Dopo di questo messaggio non riesco a fare nient'altro, al di là del reset  .
Spero in qualcuno di voi !!!
Ho cercato su bugzilla ma non ho trovato niente al riguardo, nel forum idem (anche se mi ricordavo qualcosa di simile non molto tempo fa, il fatto sta a ricordarsi in quale occasione  )

E' un kernel Oops 
Non c'é molto da fare (a meno che non vuoi mettere le mani nel codice del kernel) salvo segnalarlo. Dovresti però trovare la causa, a prima vista non gli piace che cerchi di scaricare i moduli dell'usb mentre lo scanner é collegato.
C'é qualche processo che usa lo scanner in quel momento (chessò un demone... non sono pratico di scanner)?
Hai provato a rimuovere i moduli uno per uno a mano per vedere il messaggio che da?

Stesso problema... mi capita col kernel 2.6.2 (col 2.6.0 nessun problema) solo quando ho lo scanner attaccato. Se stacco lo scanner nessun problema. Credo sia un bug.
Per il momento ho risolto cancellando il modulo dello scanner, che comunque è considerato deprecated. |

Purtroppo anche senza il modulo dello scanner ricevo un OOPS simile.....
La cosa buona e che non mi blocca proprio tutto il sistema !!!

Avevo anche io lo stesso problema quando cercavo di installare lo scanner
Ricordate?
Allora, e tuttora ho risolto rimuovendo hotplug Però così tutte le volte che devo usare qualcosa devo preventivamente collegarla al pc oppure collegare e riavviare, fortuna che non lo faccio spesso e che la stampante è sempre accesa..
Avevo provato sia con la 2.6 stabile che con la 2.6.1 e con tutte le versioni di hotplug che avevo in portage, ma niente da fare...
