Ciao,
Stavolta scrivo per un mio amico.
Avremo un altro compagno di merende oops di Gentoo  .
Il sistema e' questo:
computer portatile (sony tr1)
x il modem (che deve ancora comprare) e' orientato su un US Robotics WI-HIFI adsl ( dovrebbe essere un wireless).
E' alla prima installazione linux in assoluto (e' un masochista  ) si "accontenta" di una GRP .
Qualcuno ha notizie di questo modem? Si installa bene? O conviene qualcosa d'altro? La cosa importante e' che deve essere un wireless (odia i fili)

Non ho capito. Ma se è un modem adsl... non deve avere una scheda wireless?

Stavolta non ho capito io. Il modem e' adsl e senza fili.
Il portatile credo abbia gia' la scheda wireless... Quindi la compatibilita' dovrebbe solo riguardare la scheda ed essere indifferente rispetto al modem?
In ambito "senza fili" sono completamente a digiuno (anche perche' e' una tecnologia che ancora non mi convince...) |

Esatto. Dal lato modem non ci dovrebbero essere problemi, l'importante è che la scheda wi-fi del portatile sia supportata. Che chipset monta?
