i turned on my computer, and it boots fine, and it says mounting filesystems....then i get this:
fsck.ext3: Bad magic number in superblock while trying to open /dev/hda3
/dev/hda3: the superblock could not be read or does not describe an ext2fs...filesystem couldn't be fixed.
if i hit ctrl+d for a normal boot, it just restarts the computer!!! ideas?

boot using the live cd, and run fsck on your disks.
edit: oh yeah, this is perhaps the worst thread title ever _________________ hopstah |

you changed your title to [fixed]? do you still need help? once you are booted into your livecd, type and it will give you a runthrough on what the commands are. i'm not sure if you need to mount your drives first or not, but i would tend to think not. _________________ hopstah |

oh thanks. sorry, i changed the title to fixed, but forgot to post. i forgot my winders partition was /dev/hda1 instead of /dev/hda4, so my fstab was skewed. |
