This used to work, but has stopped.
I've got latest of any code that I can emerge.

xine, mplayer, aviplay, gtv, embedded mplayer and probably others all do the same thing.

The screen is blank, and the video plays with no problems. If I was blind I wouldn't know.

Sound is working ok.

Anybody have a clue on this one?

Same error here, I think it appeared after the last two x-freee releases, but the picture appears after moving the video window a bit so for me no big problem.
have you tried that ?

You could try launching gmplayer from an xterm and post the output perhaps theres a codec missing.

You try recompiling/emerging mplayer/xine/whatever you use after the xfree update? If it compiles right...*is having problems with mplayer compiling, but that's irrelevant*

If that doesn't fix it, then I don't have any advice.

When I move it, the picture turns from black to very dark blue. As all the players seem to have the same problem I'm wondering if it's some common library or codec that is having problems.

I do think it started with an xfree update.
